Looking for affordable / low cost marriage and family therapy? Meet Katelyn. Katelyn is a Graduate Student Therapist working with us here at Jade Therapy Kansas City, and has openings for new clients in our office!

Hi! I’m Katelyn—and I am so glad you are here.
I’m currently a Graduate Student Intern in the Marriage and Family Therapy program at Friends University. My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and rooted in the belief that you are the expert on your own life. I work from a systemic lens, paying attention to how your relationships, environment, and identity intersect with your mental and emotional well-being. With specialized training as a Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher, I integrate somatic tools—such as mindfulness, breathwork, and body awareness—alongside evidence-based practices to support regulation, enhance therapeutic outcomes, and engage the body’s role in the healing process.
I find joy in in the little things. I am a crafter, a dancer, an avid reader, and a curious human who’s always been drawn to the stories people carry. I find inspiration in music, books, nature, movement, and meaningful conversations—and those passions naturally show up in how I hold space for others. Whether it’s through laughter, tears, silence, or creativity, I believe healing happens in relationship, and I’m here to walk alongside you with care and curiosity.
Therapy with me isn’t about having it all figured out—it’s about showing up as you are and having a space where that’s more than enough. I’m here to walk alongside you, to hold space for your story, and to support you as you grow, shift, or simply make sense of things. I bring warmth, honesty, and care into every session, and am committed to your growth and goals. Together, we’ll get curious about what’s working, what’s not, and what healing might look like for you.
